Why one check is no longer enough

Car theft no longer needs your key.
It only needs its signal.

Relay attack

Two thieves, two boxes. One picks up the key signal from your hallway, the other repeats it beside the car. The car believes the key is in your hand.

Keyless cloning

The key signal is read and copied onto an emulator. Your original key never leaves your pocket while the copy starts the engine.

Adding a new key

With access to the OBD port, a fresh key can be written into the car's computer in minutes, with nothing sounding an alarm.

All three attacks fool the same thing: the factory key check. None of them has an answer for a second check that never listens to the key's radio at all.

The principle

It replaces nothing. It adds.

The module talks directly to your car's electronics over its own data bus, and depends on the key signal not at all. That is exactly why a relay device has nothing to work with: there is no key radio signal in the chain for it to capture.

Authorisation comes from you, not from the key.

Your paired phone, through the LockCar app, or a Bluetooth proximity TAG in your pocket confirms that it is you getting behind the wheel. With Trust Mode on there is nothing to press: the system disarms as you walk up and arms itself again once you have walked away.

And if your phone battery dies?

During fitting your installer sets up a backup access sequence using buttons that already exist in your car. It works independently of your phone and the app, so you are never stranded in a car park.

App control

The LockCar app for Android and iPhone connects over Bluetooth straight to the module. Status, modes and settings all live there.

Proximity TAG

Optional. A small Bluetooth TAG authorises the car automatically as you approach, without taking your phone out.

Anti-hijack protection

If the authorised TAG is no longer detected while the car is being driven, the system responds according to your installer's configuration.

Shock sensor input

Detects impact, tilting or unauthorised movement. It can be silenced temporarily for situations like a car wash.

Service and valet mode

Hand the car to a garage or a valet without giving away permanent access. Switch it on before handover, off when the car is back.

Invisible fitting

No LEDs, no keypad, nothing visible on the dashboard. The module is concealed in a position chosen for your car.

Updates through the app

Firmware updates arrive over the air, by Bluetooth, straight from the app. No trip to a workshop.

Reprogrammable

It is programmed for your car at fitting, and can be reprogrammed if you change vehicle and want to move it across.

No mandatory subscription

Core protection works without a monthly fee. The app talks locally over Bluetooth, without depending on an internet connection.

CAN-IMMO is an immobiliser. It does not include GPS tracking or a monitoring subscription — for that there are other LockCar configurations with GPS, 4G camera and remote access.

    Tell us what you drive

    Make, model and year. We check compatibility and confirm the right configuration and your final price.

  2. 02

    Professional fitting

    The module is concealed in a position chosen for your car and programmed to the vehicle in the same appointment. It needs soldering and knowledge of the wiring, so it is not a driveway job.

  3. 03

    Pair your phone

    Install the LockCar app, create your account and pair the module over Bluetooth. You can let the app remember the device and reconnect on its own.

  4. 04

    Set up the backup and TAG

    We agree your backup access sequence together and, if you have chosen the proximity TAG, pair it for hands-free daily use.

  5. 05

    Handover and testing

    We test blocking, disarming on approach, valet mode and the backup sequence with you, before you drive away.

What people ask us

Can I fit it myself?

Fitting needs soldering and knowledge of your car's specific wiring, plus programming to the vehicle, so we recommend professional fitting. The fitting guide and the programming number for the vehicle are supplied.

Does the app need an internet connection?

Not for everyday use. Control and Trust Mode run over a direct Bluetooth connection between your phone and the module.

Does it include GPS?

No. CAN-IMMO deals strictly with blocking the start. If you want tracking, a live camera or remote access over 4G, we can recommend a different LockCar configuration.

Can I move it to another car?

Yes, the module is reprogrammable. When you change car, it is reprogrammed for the new vehicle.

What happens if my phone dies?

You use the backup access sequence set up at fitting, with buttons that already exist in the car. It works independently of your phone and the app.

Can several people drive the same car?

Yes. Additional phones or TAGs can be paired — tell us how many drivers there are at fitting.

Will it drain the car battery?

The module is designed for very low consumption while armed, precisely so it does not flatten the battery when the car sits.

Is the link to my phone secure?

Communication between your phone and the module is encrypted, so only your paired app and TAG can authorise a start. The technical details are not published, as with any security system.
